**SEAM Academy® Program Director**When it comes to the Wellness sector in Turkey, the first name that comes to mind is Barış Çunguroğlu, the education director of SEAM Academy®. He began shaping his career while still a student at Ege University’s Faculty of Sports Sciences, graduating with honors. He worked as a sports trainer and manager at leading sports and health centers in İzmir and Istanbul. Most of his training was conducted abroad. To complement the mental aspect of his initial pursuit in Taekwon-Do, he went to the Shaolin Monastery in China. To update and improve his other trainings, he has been to Germany, Italy, Belgium, Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, America, and many other countries. He crowned his step-aerobic instructorship with his university thesis written in 1998. In America, he translated the first Pilates book written by Joseph Hubert Pilates, "Return To Life®," into Turkish. He authored Turkey's first "Pilates Programs and Workbook®," including the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Level books. Additionally, he became one of the successful instructors in Turkey for many equipment and programs such as Cycling, Bosu®, Pilates, 4D Pro Bungee Fitness®, LesMills®, Trx®, Gravity®, EMS, Triggerpoint®, DigiMe® 3D, and Probody Systems EMS.He received various Pilates training programs and, after a successful training process, became a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor. Due to his talents suitable for different branches, he also took on the roles of certified Master and Senior Master Instructor for many brands. He participated in international fairs and trainings for brands such as Probody Systems® EMS (in Turkey and worldwide), miha bodytec® (in Germany), 4D Pro® Bungee Fitness (in Germany and worldwide), Technogym® (in Italy, Germany, and worldwide), and Triggerpoint® (in America and Europe), training international students. Çunguroğlu, who earned the title of Ability Trainer® by completing all Master Trainer training programs within the Technogym Wellness Institute® at Technogym®’s Wellness Village center in Cesena, Italy, is a Wellness Institute® trainer providing training nationwide. He is also a member of the advisory board and one of the founders of Wellness Institute Turkey®, and a master sports trainer involved in the R&D of Technogym® products.In the past, Çunguroğlu served on the advisory board of the International Cooperation Platform of the Bosphorus Summit® (UIP-ICP) under the auspices of the Presidency, was a technical board member of the Everyone for Sports Federation® (HİS), and currently serves as a board member of the International Everyone for Sports Federation Wellness Congress. He has taken part in many Wellness level trainings and development seminars across Turkey. His self-prepared SEAMPilates® training program was accepted as an Education & Development Seminar by the Turkish Gymnastics Federation® (TCF) in 2016, contributing to the development of national sports, and was added to the curriculum of many universities’ BESYO in 2020. Additionally, he operates his own Private Training Studios® in Bodrum and Istanbul, under the new trend wellness concept he developed. Invited as a speaker by many universities, openings, and panels in Turkey to share his knowledge and experience with the youth of our country, Çunguroğlu continues his academic life as a member of the advisory board of Ege University Faculty of Sports Sciences. He is an international trainer attracting the interest of sports enthusiasts with his weekly articles on sports published in high-circulation internet magazine Dipnot® Tablet, while also writing for sports magazines.
